Friday night at the Market

The Central Market next to Victoria Square in Adelaide is a family favourite.  Bagels and Alexandrina cheese curds from Say Cheese, sausages from Standom, lollies from Blackebys, fresh fruit from Cactus, coffee and hot chocolate at Lucias and cakes from Providore.  My husband’s grandfather and great-uncle ran a cheap jack stall in the 1930’s with a live goose as a prize (not sure how often it was won!) and his grandmother visited Lucia’s for coffee in the 1970’s before espresso was popular in Adelaide.
